FAQs
Questions, answered.
Licensing, vetting, deployment and careers.
General
Are your London security guards SIA licensed?
Yes. Frontline security personnel carrying out licensable activities under a contract for services must hold the appropriate SIA licence. This applies across the UK, including London. The required licence depends on the work being performed, such as security guarding, door supervision, CCTV monitoring or key holding.
Can you provide security guards at short notice?
Short-notice deployment may be available, depending on the location, hours, duties and the number of officers required. Contact our operations team with the details of your request so we can check availability and licensing requirements.
Do you provide security services seven days a week?
Yes. Security cover can be arranged during the day, overnight, at weekends or on a 24/7 basis, depending on the site’s needs.
Can security guards manage access control?
Yes. Depending on the agreed assignment instructions, security guards can check identification, confirm appointments, issue visitor passes and maintain access records. They may also monitor staff, contractors, deliveries and vehicles entering or leaving the premises.
What types of security personnel can you provide?
These can include on-site security guards, mobile patrol officers, event security staff, key holders and door supervisors. Door supervisors require the appropriate SIA licence when guarding licensed premises, while a door supervision licence also permits the holder to perform security guarding activities.
Can your officers work with an existing facilities management team?
Yes. Our officers can work alongside property managers, facilities management providers, site teams and control room personnel. Duties and communication procedures are agreed before deployment.
Do you carry out background checks on staff?
Yes. All personnel are vetted in line with BS 7858 screening standards, with DBS checks where the assignment requires them.
Do you provide event security for one-off events?
Yes. Event security can be arranged for private, corporate and public events. The personnel and SIA licences required depend on the venue, activities, expected attendance and duties involved.
Manned Guarding
What does a manned guarding service include?
A licensed guard who handles patrols, access control, monitoring, incident response and general site protection. Your security needs are met with our Manned Guarding in London solution.
Are your security guards SIA-licensed and fully vetted?
Yes – every officer is screened, trained, and approved to UK standards. Our Manned Guarding in London team is trained to deliver exceptional service.
Do you cover one-off events?
Absolutely. We provide both short-term and long-term guarding, depending on your requirements.
Empty Property Security
Can you provide security for long-term vacant buildings?
Yes. We secure properties that remain empty for months or even years.
Do your officers enter the property during inspections?
Yes – if you allow internal checks, we assess rooms, utilities, hazards and signs of intrusion.
Do you handle squatters or trespass attempts?
Our officers deter entry, document incidents and escalate immediately to protect owners and prevent illegal occupation.

Mobile Patrols
How often do your mobile patrols visit my site?
Patrol times and frequency are tailored to your needs – from hourly checks to multiple randomised visits throughout the night.
Are your mobile patrol vehicles marked?
Yes. Our patrol vehicles are clearly liveried, making them a strong visual deterrent.
What happens if your officers find a problem on site?
They respond immediately – securing the area, notifying you, escalating where needed, and recording all details in a digital incident report.
Key Holding & Alarm Response
Why is professional key holding safer than staff attending alarms?
Because trained security officers understand risk and know how to respond safely. Staff members should never be put in danger attending alarms alone.
How quickly can you respond to an alarm activation?
We dispatch officers immediately. Response times vary by location, but London and major UK cities typically receive very fast attendance.
Are my keys stored securely?
Yes. All keys are kept in an insurance-approved, controlled storage system with strict auditing and sign-out procedures.
