Retail security officers are SIA-licensed and BS 7858-vetted, provided under our SIA-approved Security Guarding service. We can add lock-up and unlock, alarm response and car park patrols for out-of-hours cover.

Can retail security officers detain shoplifters?
Officers have the same powers as any member of the public under the law of England and Wales: they may detain someone they reasonably believe has committed an offence in limited circumstances, using only reasonable force. Your assignment instructions set out exactly how incidents are handled.
Do you provide plain-clothes store detectives?
We can discuss plain-clothes loss prevention where it suits the store. Like uniformed officers, contracted store detectives need an SIA security guarding licence.
