FAQs

All FAQs
Are your school security officers DBS checked?

Officers are vetted in line with BS 7858, and DBS checks are carried out at the level the assignment requires, in line with your safeguarding policy and Keeping children safe in education.

Can you cover school events and open days?

Yes. We can provide officers for parents’ evenings, open days, exams, sports events and lettings, alongside regular cover.

Do schools need to prepare for Martyn’s Law?

Schools and colleges where 200 or more people may be present fall in the standard tier, which centres on procedures and training rather than physical measures. The law is expected to come into force in spring 2027.

Are your education site security officers trained in safeguarding?

Yes. Officers receive safeguarding awareness and understand how to recognise and escalate concerns appropriately.

Yes – for most education sites we provide DBS-checked officers as required.

Can your officers manage school gates during morning and afternoon rush?

Absolutely. Gate duty, parent interactions and access control are core elements of our service.

Do you protect schools after hours and during holidays?

Yes. We secure school buildings during evenings, weekends, half-terms and long holiday periods.

What happens if there’s an incident on site?

Our officers respond immediately, follow school protocols, support staff, log the incident and escalate where needed.
